The old layout came into existance a few years ago when I started a small N Scale railroad on a small 4 X 4 piece of plywood. As time went on it more than doubled in size as features were built and methods of track laying and scenery construction were learned.
I hit a snag while buiding my mountain, said to resemble a large chocolate cake by one unkind critic. I perservered however, until the layout was completed. Having been built for the purpose of gaining experience, the layout was dismanteled and a new one is being started.
